Window Tint Care Instructions & Terms of Service
1. Drying & Curing Period
Your newly installed window film requires 3–5 days to fully dry and cure. In some cases, curing may take longer depending on film type, weather, and humidity.
During the curing period, you may notice:
Haze or cloudiness
Water bubbles
Light lines or streaks
These conditions are normal and will dissipate as the film dries.
Do not roll down tinted windows until fully cured. Rolling windows down prematurely can cause edge lifting, bubbling, or creasing. Damage caused by rolling windows down before curing is complete is not covered and will require paid repair.
Frameless Doors
Vehicles with frameless doors must not have doors opened for 12 hours after installation. Opening doors too soon may cause the bottom edge of the film to lift. This is not the installer’s responsibility.
2. Cleaning & Maintenance
Once cured, window film should be cleaned using:
A soft, clean microfiber cloth
Alcohol-based cleaner or mild soap and water with a squeegee
Do not use ammonia-based cleaners (such as Windex), as they can deteriorate the film and cause premature failure.
3. Black Ceramic Dot Matrix (Frit Edges)
Most vehicles have a black ceramic “frit” edge on rear windows. These dots are raised and prevent full adhesion of the film in those areas.
This may result in a light or whitish appearance around the dotted area. On vehicles with wide dot bands, this effect may be more noticeable.
This is normal and unavoidable and does not indicate a defect in installation or film.
4. Customer-Supplied Film
Any customer-supplied film is installed with NO warranty, expressed or implied. This includes but is not limited to:
Film failure
Discoloration
Shrinking
Adhesion issues
5. Seat Belt Damage & Interior Contact
Use caution when releasing seat belts or loading items into the vehicle. Seat belts and hard objects can cause chips, scratches, or cuts in the window film.
Damage caused by seat belts or objects is not covered under warranty.
6. Installation Standards & Minor Imperfections
Installations are performed in accordance with IWFA (International Window Film Association) standards.
Film should be viewed:
At a 90-degree angle
From at least 6 feet away
In natural daylight (not direct sunlight)
Due to the nature of window film installation, minor imperfections are present in every installation, including:
Small dust particles
Minor install lines
Tiny hairs or lint
This is especially common in:
Older vehicles
Vehicles with felt window seals
Dusty or previously contaminated interiors
Felt seals continuously release fibers, which may become trapped behind the film during installation. Complete elimination of all contamination is not possible, as we operate in a real-world environment containing dust, pollen, lint, hair, and debris.
Mobile Installations
Mobile installations may show more contamination than shop installations, even when performed in garages. Environmental exposure is unavoidable.
Any discounts applied void warranty coverage related to contamination or cosmetic imperfections.
7. Pre-Existing Glass Conditions
Scratches, chips, metal deposits, or other pre-existing defects in the glass often become more visible after tint installation.
Metal deposits (“metal rubs”) commonly found in SUVs, wagons, and utility vehicles are caused by objects rubbing against the glass and are not created by the installer.
These conditions are not covered under warranty.
8. Rear Defogger & Brake Light Distortion
At night, light distortion may be visible around rear defogger lines due to the film conforming over raised elements. This varies by vehicle and is normal.
Vehicles with non-removable third brake lights will require a cut-out in the film.
9. Legal Compliance
Customers are solely responsible for verifying compliance with local, state, and federal tint laws prior to installation.
10. Liability Disclaimer
By purchasing and using our products and services, the customer agrees that the company shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages to property or persons arising from the use or misuse of window film.
